Weekend in Paris

on

We’re big on birthdays in this household and we love to celebrate them, especially if its a milestone! It was my sisters 18th this year and she had been going on and on about Paris for a while, so, we decided to take the birthday celebrations international! Anyway, we had the most fab weekend, filled with sight seeing, fun activities and delicious food, so keep on reading if you want all the details!

Where To Stay:

We stayed at the Hôtel Rochester Champs-Élysées which location-wise was fantastic as we were quite central to all the hot spots like Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Palais Garnier and the Louvre etc. We got a suite which was super spacious and worked out perfectly for the 4 of us. I would highly recommend this hotel since its fairly priced whilst providing a high quality service. The hotel even had a small spa which we of course made use of!

Where To Eat:

We were in Paris just for the weekend so it didn’t give us that much time to explore the cuisine however we did visit a couple of amazing places which I have listed below and would recommend if you need some inspo! My favourite was Kong , an adventurous Asian restaurant serving fusion cuisine beneath a glass dome rooftop.

  • Kong – Japanese Fusion
  • Le Train Bleu – Classic French
  • Le Cafe Marly – Parisian Brasserie

What To Do:

As mentioned we were only in Paris for the weekend therefore didn’t get to do as much. We also wanted a more chilled vacation without running around the city non stop. We visited the main hot spots since it was 2 of my sisters first time there.

  • Eiffel Tower
  • Palais Garnier
  • Arc de Triomphe
  • Champs-Élysées

Overall it was an unforgettable trip where we made some amazing memories however I still stand firm that Paris isn’t high on my list of favourite places I’ve travelled to but it sure does have its moments.
