Social Pottery

We’re heading into Autumn and I don’t know about you but I’m always on the hunt for a cosy indoor activity to do during this time of year and I have the perfect one for you.

Social Pottery has 3 locations, two of which are in London and the third in Milton Keynes. We visited the big one in Kentish Town and had a fantastic experience. They are a pottery painting establishment where you book a session that lasts 1.5hrs. The price of booking a slot is around £6* however this is deducted from the price of the ceramic item you choose to paint. We picked a late afternoon time slot on a weekday where it wasn’t too busy and we also decided to paint medium sized dinner plates.

Once you arrive you will be asked to present your tickets and then you can choose your ceramic piece. After making the choice you head over to the main counter to pay for the piece minus the ticket price and then head over to your allocated table. An assistant will then come over and instruct you on how to use the paints and tools. After that you are good to go!

Time does fly however you can extend your session should you need to, we felt like we had enough time to work on our plates and complete our designs. As the session came to an end we packed up our things and took our finished pieces over to one of the employees who collected it to store for glazing. You will have to leave the item and come back in a couple of weeks to pick up the finished product! We had a small issue with our plates however the customer service was second to none! They resolved the issue quickly and efficiently.

This is a great activity, perfect for all ages as they do have a separate section for kids which is nice for adults who want to have some fun! They have a huge variety of ceramics to choose from and the vibes are just awesome! Head over to our instagram to see a reel of our experience and let us know if you visit social pottery and what you painted!
