On a recent trip to Manchester, my cousin and I stopped by Kitten for drinks and little bites. The restaurant is fairly new and is already on its way to becoming a hot spot.

Kitten is a modern fine dining Japanese restaurant and cocktail bar that will impress you the moment you walk in the door. The interior is stunning with its neutral tones that are highlighted with marble and mirrored accents, as you walk in you are greeted by sculptures and an indoor tree!

As mentioned we popped by for a quick drink and some nibbles since we were eating elsewhere later on, much to my regret. I definitely plan on revisiting to explore the rest of the menu! The service itself was a little slow but not alarmingly so. Anyway, we ordered our food and drinks together and it came out beautifully presented with decent sized portions. I’ve listed the items below:

• Crispy Squid Tempura
• Yasai Tempura
• Dragon Roll
• Fruity Mocktail

With regards to our drinks, the waitress asked us for our preference in flavours and had the bar tender mix us up a mocktail which was delicious! From what we ate I can honestly say the quality of the food was high and I enjoyed the flavours of each dish especially the dragon roll. All in all I would totally recommend Kitten and I’m looking forward to going back. Let us know if you go and what you thought!
