Coming to you with another restaurant recommendation! It was my cousins birthday recently and we decided to try out a new spot. We chose Tattu located in Birmingham and it was the perfect place to celebrate surrounded in floral splendour. They have a number of locations dotted around so be sure to check out the one closest to you. Parking is available on street and the restaurant was relatively easy to find.

Our group of 5 was seated in an intimate booth on one side of the restaurant, they do have a more popular bright floral section on the opposite side, however, for me it was far too open and busy. I would recommend requesting a booth and you can always walk over to take pictures or videos!

The food is Chinese inspired and the menu differs a little location to location. The Birmingham menu isn’t as extensive as the others however they do have a good variety of dishes. We ordered the novelty skull mocktail that comes with dry ice to make it look as if its smoking which was a fun touch. We all enjoyed the dishes although I would say majority of the sauces and flavours are on the sweeter side and I would have preferred a little variation. We really enjoyed our experience here and the service was top tier our waiter was super friendly and helpful recommending dishes and bringing out our meals/ drinks without delay. At the end they bought out a complementary birthday plate (whilst singing) that consisted of an elaborately decorated fortune cookie with a sparkler candle, my cousin was thoroughly surprised!
