Brighton is a fun, energetic and frantic place furthermore it’s perfect for when you want a trip by the seaside. I’ve been twice and both times I’ve driven. The drive may seem like a trek, especially from where I live however the journey is a pretty easy one. You could also take the train if you prefer public transport.
On my first trip there, we explored for about 3-4 hours maximum and stayed on the beach for the rest of the time. Still, in that short period, we were able to hit a lot of the main attractions. On the second trip we spent more time visiting various hot spots at an unhurried pace.
There’s something to see and do for everyone and all the popular locations are easy to get to. See the list below if you need ideas:
- British Airways i360 Viewing Tower – 531 foot high observation tower
- Sea Life Brighton – the world’s oldest aquarium
- City sightseeing bus tour
- Brighton bandstand
- Powerboat ride
- Sailing cruise
- The Royal Pavilion – seaside palace of the Prince Regent
- Brighton Palace Pier – over a century old pier
- The Lanes – narrow streets filled with interesting cafes and shops
- Helicopter ride over Brighton & Hove
- Brighton Museum & Art Gallery
- Upside Down House -UKs only topsy-turvy attraction
- Brighton Zip – zip wire along the sea front
- Brighton Marina – largest marina in the UK
- Don’t forget to dine at one of the many fish and chip shops
Brighton is an easy trip, to have a good time and explore the south coast of England. However, be warned it can get very crowded and very loud especially on days with good weather, so if you’re looking for a quiet place to relax on the seaside this is not it.
