Happy New Year! It’s that time again, where a lot of people are securing travel plans for 2025 and I am here to give you some inspo. Last year my sisters and I ventured to Monaco – Monte Carlo for our annual summer trip and had the best time! So, check out the details below if you’re thinking of adding it to your travel bucket list.
Arriving in Style
This was totally extravagant and unnecessary but completely amazing at the same time! Since we managed to get a good deal on our flights and hotel we decided to splurge on airport transfer, and by splurge I mean taking a helicopter from Nice airport to Monaco. It was truly such an unforgettable experience! We booked through a company called Blade who were fantastic, they met us as the airport and drove us to the flight area. After the flight they also drove us to our apartment hotel. In terms of prices, it varies so its best to look on their website and the helicopter can accommodate up to 5/6 passengers so you may have other people on your flight. We got super lucky and had an empty aircraft besides us and the pilot. The flight itself is pretty short at around 10 minutes or less but the views are sensational, the photos don’t do it justice but be sure to check out our tiktok and instagram for videos!

Where To Eat
We ate some amazing food while in Monaco but the 4 restaurants that stood out for us are listed below:
- Lobby Lounge
- Buddha Bar
- Restaurant de la Societe Nautique de Monaco
- Mayabay
From the above two are lunch spots and two are dinner spots so you have a nice variety should you need some ideas on where to dine. None of the above served halal meat but we usually eat vegetarian or pescatarian whilst abroad since we’re not the biggest meat eaters, but we did visit two halal spots that served more home style comfort food. One was an Indian restaurant local to our apartment and another was a similar to a KFC.

What To Do
Although Monaco is relatively small there is still a fair bit to do and see. We kept the itinerary on the lighter side since we wanted a more relaxed trip but we still managed to see the hot spots. I have listed the activities as well as extras below:
- Casino de Monte-Carlo
- Oceanographic Museum of Monaco
- The Private Collection of Antique Cars
- Princes Palace of Monaco
- Port Hercule De Monaco
- Casino Square
- Larvotto Beach
- Cathedrale Notre-Dame-Immaculee
- Botanical Gardens
- Jardin Exotique de Monaco
- Metropole Shopping
- Grimaldi Forum

Anyway, overall it was a great trip and I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place thats not too overwhelming with things to do and see. Somewhere that is totally luxurious and will give you a taste of how the other half live haha. Let us know if you visit or recommendations on where we should go next. P.s.
