Zaza is a neighbourhood restaurant and is all about good honest food sourced from reliable and sustainable sources. Their service is friendly and informal, yet attentive, we popped in for a birthday lunch and were thoroughly impressed by the food, atmosphere and service. My sister (the birthday girl), was handed a delicious mocktail upon arrival and her meal was finished with a complementary dessert plate!
We ordered a fair few dishes to try, specially since they had a lunch time deal. Everything was served beautifully and freshly cooked to order. The portions were very generous and we actually ended up taking some of the food home, which was demolished the next day! I have listed everything we had below:
- Bruschetta
- Calamari Fritti
- Funghi Fritti
- Penne Arrabbiata
- Margherita Pizza
- Rissoto Vegeteriana
- Sweet Potato Fries
- Crispy Zucchini
I am not a big mushroom girly but the mushroom fritti was my favourite dish! This is high praise indeed when a restaurant can make you like something you are not usually fond of! I would highly recommend Zaza and I cannot wait to go back! Let us know if you visit and what your favourite dish was.
