I wouldn’t consider myself a hot drink girly but I’m definitely a hot chocolate girly, especially in the colder days, which if you live in the UK is all the time! Anyway, if you love a decadent sweet drink like myself then look no further because Italian Bear Chocolate is about to become your new fave spot!

Formally known as Said dal 1923 this tiny cafe serves the best hot chocolate in London in my humble opinion. Their Italian Chocolate Shops & Cafes have been serving customers in London’s West End since 2012. Over the last 10 years, the passionate chocolatiers and pastry chefs have developed all of their recipes in-house, rooted in Italian cultural heritage. In 2015, they developed the “Triple Chocolate” concept together with special recipes, including the famous Triple Chocolate Mocha and their best-selling Chocolate Cake. Along with chocolate treats they also serve hot drinks, patisserie, Italian food and wine.

​If you visit you need to get the triple chocolate hot chocolate where they cover the cup with three kinds of melted chocolate. I will warn you the drink is pretty rich however you can order it in 3 different sizes, I always go for the small which even I find difficult to finish. The hot chocolate itself is thick and luscious and nothing like the watered down nonsense you get at a Starbucks!
