Duck & Waffle

We finally decided to try Duck & Waffle for brunch on my sisters birthday and I can safely say it lived up to the hype! We visited on a weekday which was nice as it wasn’t super busy and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of service and food.

Duck & Waffle is located on the 40th floor of Heron Tower right above Suishi Samba and just like Sushi Samba it affords some spectacular views of London. The restaurant is actually open 24/7 serving mostly British cuisine with some European influence. The decor is clean, modern and minimal where the views are the star of the show.

This place is famous for their signature dish and its name sake the ‘Duck and Waffle’ however as it’s not halal we couldn’t try it. Although, I will say it is their most popular dish since every table around us had it. Anyway, we opted for the brunch options and ordered a variety of dishes to try. Our food arrived promptly and everything was freshly prepared, served beautifully. I’ve listed what we had below:

  • 2 Poached Eggs on Sourdough
  • Eggs Florentine
  • Columbian Eggs
  • Crushed Avocado
  • Homemade Baked Beans
  • Hash Browns
  • French Fries
  • Caramelised Banana Waffle
  • Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  • Fresh Apple Juice

As mentioned above we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered and I believe the price was fair for the quality and portions served. I would highly recommend Duck & Waffle and I look forward to heading back to explore their lunch and dinner menus. Let us know if you visit and what your thoughts were!
