This was our mid-week dinner location however looking back I wish we had gone during the day instead. The restaurant is in a beautiful part of Dumbo Brooklyn right by the water with stunning views of the city so I would have preferred to enjoy it during the day. They have an outdoor seating area but due to poor weather that evening we had to sit inside.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who guided us through the restaurant to our table. The interior of Cecconi’s has an industrial feel to it with wooden floors, exposed beams across the ceiling and brick walls. This combined with circular white tables, chic seating at the bar and glowing chandeliers soften the overall look giving it a sophisticated feel.
We ordered based on helpful recommendations from our server and requested that everything be brought out together. The food and drinks came out promptly and I was pleased by the presentation and portion sizes. As usual we we had a bunch leftover therefore we had it packed and anyway, pizza is always better the next day right?
I have listed what we ordered below:
- Zucchini Fritti, Lemon Aioli
- Calamari Fritti, Lemon Chilli Aioli
- Pizza – Buffalo Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil
- Roast Potatoes w/ Rosemary
- Broccolini
- Coke & Sprite
We throughly enjoyed the food and our overall experience was a lovely one, it’s definitely on my list of restaurants to return to when I’m back in the city. Let us know if you’ve dined here and what your thoughts were!
