Got a cute little surprise recently when my sister booked us a mini stay-cay at Tylney Hall Hotel. It had been a while since we had a hotel/ spa break so it was definitely necessary. We were there for only one night but we still had the best time!
Tylney Hall is a Grade II listed building and remains an outstanding example of a luxury country house hotel that has never lost its old world sense of charm. The hotel is situated in 66 acres of glorious parkland & gardens in the small north Hampshire town of Hook. It’s interesting that Tylney Hall has served a number of purposes including a school from 1948 to 1984. There is a rich history behind the hotel and it’s luxurious grounds.
When we arrived we were blown away by the scenery. At check in we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who told us we had been given a complimentary room upgrade to one of the suites! We were shocked to say the least but were super excited. Words cannot describe how large and pretty it was! We had soo much space including a dainty hallway, a lounge area, a dressing area, a dining area and a bathroom that had double sinks and a jacuzzi bath tub! We also had the nicest view of the hotel which was lovely specially at night.
We spent a lot of time exploring the hotel and wondering the grounds. We didn’t have much time to spend at the pool and spa but we did check it out. The following day after enjoying a lush breakfast we checked out. Even after checking out we stayed on the grounds and did some more exploring using the map provided.
I have to say country house hotels like this are my favourite to stay at, they make you feel as if you’ve been transported to a different era which is perfect when you want a get away. I truly believe the atmosphere is so much nicer than that of which you would find at a contemporary hotel.
I would highly recommend making a trip here if you want to escape reality for a moment. The staff were amazing and we cannot fault it one bit, will definitely be going back!
