We’ve all seen the overbearing floral display craze that swept across almost every café slash restaurant over the last few years. However, I would say Peggy Porschen was one of the first few that started the trend and to this day does it tastefully.

Peggy Porschen Cakes was founded by Peggy and her husband Bryn in 2003 and is based in South West London, it has evolved into two world-famous cake Parlours in Belgravia and Chelsea.

They have a wide selection of cakes, pastries, savoury dishes, afternoon tea and drinks available at both locations. If you pop in on a weekday, it isn’t too difficult to get a table however you can book in advance. The doorway at both locations are always beautifully decorated and they up the ante during any seasonal periods. Be prepared to see people having full on photoshoots outside but it’s all good fun, make sure to get you’re own cute pic outside!

The interior is cosy and can only be described as pink perfection. They have shelves filled with recipe books, baking encyclopaedias, icing decorations and other packaged treats. They also make cakes upon order for special occasions, they even have some celebrity clients such as Elton John, Kate Moss and the Royal Family!

We usually get the sweet options when we visit, I’m a sucker for their cupcakes and my sister will always get a slice of whatever popular cake flavour they have on display. Everything is served beautifully and it’s a real test against time to get the perfect picture before the hot chocolate cools!
