The Ivy Cheltenham

Am I about to tell you to go eat at yet another Ivy restaurant? YES, yes I am!!

In September I went for a mini staycation in the Cotswolds and I knew we would be passing Cheltenham on the drive there, which is where this Ivy is located. So, I did what any sane person would do, I made a reservation. The main reason I wanted to visit was for the interior and I wasn’t disappointed, this has to be hands down one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen. All the Ivy’s are spectacularly decorated however this one ranks at the top!

Food wise the menu is the same as all the other Ivy’s but I did try a new drink at this location which was delicious! The quality of food and drinks (as with any other Ivy) was top tier and so was the service. I had written a special note in the reservation to say it was for a birthday and they did the utmost to make it memorable for us.

We were seated near the bar which was extremely unique being completely round in shape. After our meal the waitress brought out a birthday dessert plate with a lit candle for my sister, which ended our experience perfectly.

As mentioned above, the menu is the same as the other locations which I have visited and reviewed on here but none the less I have listed what we ordered below:

Movie Star Martini (Mocktail)
Zucchini Fritti
Tempura Prawns
Salt & Pepper Squid
Fish & Chips
Birthday Profiteroles

Anyway, if you’re in the area or are looking for some place special then look no further as this place is perfect. Let me know of any nice spots that you would recommend I try next!
