Noir

We dined at Noir for my sisters birthday recently and it was a pleasant experience so, I thought I’d share it.

I want to start by saying that I don’t think the food reflects the high price point and although we enjoyed the dishes we weren’t blown away. The restaurant itself is located on a pretty busy high street but the exterior is very welcoming and inside they have 2 floors where the top is reserved for Shisha.

We were seated on the ground floor since we were only there to eat and were promptly greeted by a waiter who took our order for food and drinks. The mocktails arrived within 10 minutes followed shortly by our food. The drinks were a little on the sweet side for me however they still tasted good. We chose to have all our dishes come out together as we ordered a variety and would be sharing them. The portions were pretty generous and between the 4 of us, we got to enjoy a little of each item. I’ve listed what we ate below in case you are looking to go soon and need some inspo:

  • Bombay Blues (Mocktail)
  • Candy Sharbat (Mocktail)
  • Kiwi Kahani (Mocktail)
  • Lychee Lucknow (Mocktail)
  • Chennai Chilli Prawns
  • Kolkota Wings
  • Lahori Lamb Chops
  • Teek Hain Tacos
  • Do Me Like Dhal
  • My Butter Half
  • Prawn Me Up
  • Chicken Catch Up Biryani
  • Butter Naan
  • Masala Fries

Out of all of the above I wouldn’t recommend the tacos as they were bland and uninspired. My favourite dish would be the prawn curry which was creamy, sweet and packed full of flavour. Overall we had a nice experience and I would recommend this restaurant however be prepared for a chunky bill!
