I came across this hotel online and was fascinated by it, when I showed it to my sister there was no going back and we had to book a stay there. The Sunborn is the UK’s only fully functioning Super Yacht Luxury Hotel. Based in London Docklands, it is fantastically placed to afford views across the Thames towards the O2. Located right by the ExCel convention centre it’s the ideal choice to attend a variety of events.

We had originally booked a standard room but when we arrived they offered us the option to upgrade to an executive room with a private balcony and a city view for a small fee. We decided to do it and it was well worth it. The room was large and decorated with classic elegance.

The hotel also offers the opportunity to book a treatment in one of the serene Symphony Skin Therapy Rooms. Regrettably, we didn’t have time to experience this but it’s on the agenda if we go back.

We had breakfast at the hotel and it was superb. It was a buffet-style breakfast that had an assortment of cold and hot items. We enjoyed our food with a great view of the river.

Overall we had a great stay and I would recommend it if you’re looking for a unique hotel that offers something completely different from the ordinary.
