Las Vegas

When you hear Las Vegas, you instantly think gambling, hangover movies and partying right? However, let me confirm that is not the case. Don’t believe me? Take a look below at the list of things to do and see:

  • Dancing fountains at the Bellagio hotel
  • Gondola Ride at the Venetian hotel
  • Vegas strip – walk along the strip and gawk at the unique resort properties
  • Grand Canyon
  • Catch a show – you must take the time to watch a show when in Vegas. Pick from the choices of Cirque d’Soleil, Blue man group, magic shows or music concerts, as well as various others
  • Take in the views from High Roller Ferris wheel
  • Zion national park
  • Tour the opulent casino interiors of each hotel
  • Visit a museum or art gallery
  • Madame Tussauds
  • The Stratosphere Hotel – sky jump from 829ft or risk it all on one of the terrifying rides like Big Shot, X-Scream and Insanity
  • Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel
  • Explore Hoover Dam and Lake Mead
  • Get pampered at a spa
  • Mandalay Beach – 11-acre sandy shoreline at Mandalay Bay Hotel
  • Shop ‘til you drop – Vegas is a shopaholic’s dream and the resorts have the best high-end designer stores as well as outlet malls for great deals.
  • Helicopter tours over the strip or Grand Canyon
  • Shooting range – take a chance at the shooting range to test your skills with a gun (if that’s your thing I was too scared to try it, but my friends did)

I spent 5 nights in Vegas and it wasn’t enough! But in that time, I managed to watch 2 shows (O by cirque du Soleil & Zarkana by cirque du Soleil), visit every casino and hotel on the strip, dine at the Stratosphere, gondolas at the Venetian, see the dancing fountain show at Bellagio, go to the shooting range, shop to my heart’s content, zip wire across the Rio hotel and that’s just to name just a few.

I stayed at the Aria Hotel and was lucky enough to get upgraded to a sky suite room. The suite was beautiful and felt so luxurious. From being picked up at the airport in a stretch limo to the amazing private lobby stocked up with amenities like Fiji water and warm cookies, the experience was unreal, to say the least.

Each hotel has something special to offer and I would highly suggest staying in one on the strip, that way you will have great views and access to pretty much everything.
